For those of you who don't know what these are, they are all different types of marijuana. Needless to say, if you have never heard of any of those, or have never even smelt or touched weed, this article is just for you.
4/20 began, according to High Times on Tuesday April 20th 2010, "in Northern California in 1971, a group of San Rafael High School students (known as The Waldos) would meet by the Louis Pasteur statue to smoke pot after school at 4:20 p.m." Despite this creative thought, the term 420 has been rumored to be police code for possession. This is in fact a lie. 420 is actually a police code for (drum role please) absolutely nothing, there is no code 420 at all. Yet if you and some "buds" decide to get together and one of you says 420 way to loud like an idiot, a cop will know what you're talking about.
Now for those of you crawling out from under a rock on this subject, there are a few ways to actually get THC, the stuff that gets you high, in your system. The first of which is the conventional joint, which is just some rolling paper and weed. Then you can use a pipe or a bong, you could smoke a bowl or smoke a blunt (same thing as a joint but you use a stripped cigar as the paper.) There are also foods that are made with weed baked into it, such as in a brownie or a cake.
So that's it, when it comes down to it there is a ballot in November that everyone should vote yes on.
Why, one might ask? Its due to the fact that the legalization of marijuana is on it. April 20th may be one day out of the 365 that we have each year, but that doesn't mean that we as Americans can't appreciate something such as this. Its really only a matter of time before it happens anyways, so lets just make it a lot sooner for everyone by you voting yes in November.
