Were you one of the many students here at Moreno Valley RCC who was dropped? Well, you are not alone.

Consider it a breakdown in the lines of communication from top to bottom. According to supervisor John Thrower in the Student Services office, the first drop went from 8137 to 7411. It continued with the following drops on the 20th of August which brought the number of enrolled students to 7718. It dipped lower on the 21st to 7223, but on September 2nd the numbers shot back up to 8578 students registered.

So even though you may have been a student who was dropped, the school is doing fine.

The school has 5 to 7 million in outstanding loans, so students need to be prepared to pay their fees on time. Basically, they are saying, "Grow up, Moreno Valley students. If you don't pay your fees, you will be dropped."

John states, "Let's clean up what's broken and start building. It is a wake up call. We will be stronger and better in the future. The effort was made to notify students, but complacency set in on behalf of the students. "

It is important for students to be on their toes and pay all fines. If not, students will be dropped and lose their places in the class roster. But remember, it is for the best. Learn to be prepared for whatever comes. Check and recheck the RCC website for important information.
