It's a beautiful day to remember and honor our men and women of the Armed Forces. Many students and staff gathered to share in this day.

ASMV set up a wonderful display of tables and take home souvenirs. There were hamburgers and hotdogs, sodas, and chips. There was even apple pie.

How much more American can we get than that? But the melancholy memories of those who are still overseas and those that have perished far away from their families linger in the air.

Keith Lawson is an Air force Veteran of 16 years and John Cassidy is a 15 year Navy Veteran. They both attend RCCMV. Some Veterans spoke of their history and experience.

Patty Bufalino, who is our Dean of Instruction, shared her experience in the Vietnam War as a Navy nurse.

Gail Burns is the Veteran Coordinator who stated that soon RCCMV will soon have a permanent office in the Moreno Valley Campus.

The Iraq Coalition Casualty Count is a website that keeps a current account of those still contractor deaths:  http://icasualties.org/Iraq/Contractors.aspx

Keep in mind, this list is only of contractors in the areas of Iraq, who come from a variety of countries since April 2003.

Although Veteran's Day will have come and gone, let us not forget that the toll count continues to rise.
